Mountains, Lakes, Candy, Penises, Rugby & My Dad

What a treat this past weekend was!

First, Tim, Fiona & I went on a nice walk in Wanaka last week. The sights, sounds, feels were wonderful.

Poor lamb skulls

Getting some sun

We also headed down to Queenstown, and took refuge from the wintery cold in a candy shop!! Free fudge tasting and warmth, who can say no to this?

We decided to stay to experience the legendary, wild party town that is Queenstown. But it turned out to be a quiet night, not so impressive. Luckily, my flatmates are awesome and we had a great night. After a few drinks and games we headed home... but not before I made a toast to the best sisters in the world! I miss you guys!

The next day (Friday), Fiona and I headed down to Dunedin to watch the All-Blacks vs. Wales at the Carisbrook Stadium on Saturday. Dunedin is building a new stadium, so we were at the last ruby test to be held at Carisbrook. Not only had I never been to a live ruby match before, but I was able to go to two in one day. And one of the games was... nude rugby!!! Yes, it's true! Viewer discretion is highly advised for the following photos - for mature audiences and me only! Don't say I didn't warn you ;) Also, I must insist that you resist leaning in too closely to the screen - it's not good for your eyes!

A girl ran through the field to add some diversity!
Then someone tried to "streak" across the field fully-dressed, and was escorted off the field. :)

Don't worry, I also censored the shadows

"My ding-a-ling!! My ding-a-ling!!
Won't you play with my ding-a-linggg!"

Nude Black vs. Wales: I don't even know who won!
The audience!

Guess you had to be there, really!

The new stadium: Forsyth Barr Stadium at University Plaza

Dunedin is very much like San Francisco. It even had steep streets, and claims to have the steepest street in the world. I'm pretty sure I've been on steeper ones though... Anyway, it was fun :) So far, Dunedin has to be my favorite city in New Zealand!

Awehck Bahwhin!

Meet Webster!

Then, after some shopping, we made our way to the All-Blacks vs. Wales game!! What fun!! The All-Blacks won, of course, and the entire city was in celebration mode for the rest of the night. It was the most fun I've had in a long time.

The Haka!!!

Cheese & Crackers. And beer!

Apparently, the "wave" is better known here as the "Mexican wave!" We did it many times during the game, with plastic beer bottles!

I don't think fireworks really need a spotlight...

Pretending to get on the "Special" Bus!
(Only pretending, because I obviously don't belong on it)

On Sunday, Fiona and I made the 3-hour drive back to Wanaka. And it's good to be back...

On another note, I would like to wish my Daddy a Happy Father's Day. I love you Daddy, and always imagine what it would be like if you were here with me. I miss you and know that I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. I am very thankful to have you as my dad, and I love you very much! And don't worry, I didn't touch any of those rugby boys!
